CyberGuardians - Stronger Together

Our mission at CCN is to grow Canadian talent, businesses and to increase cybersecurity awareness. To do that we need individuals with passion, energy and the right skills to help various community or national projects achieve their goals. Are you part of that solutions.

CCN Linkedin Group Manager

This is a key role: We are looking for a motivated CCN LinkedIn Group Manager to invite new members, recommend and manage group posts, moderate content, and engage the community. You will help foster collaboration by approving posts, highlighting key content, and ensuring respectful interactions. Additionally, you’ll work with the CCN team to develop innovative strategies for growing and enhancing our LinkedIn community.

Cyber Practices

CCN is creating cyber practices libraries with information for red teamers (offense), blue teamers (defense), GRC, Careers, Government and more.

Project timeline: August 2024 to December 2024

👥 Volunteers required: many, providing content for the different practices, participating in Slack forums, moderating, etc.


CCN CyberPaths GTA

"CCN CyberPath GTA" is a project aimed at defining a roadmap for cybersecurity in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It provides individuals at different stages of their career or arrival in Toronto, including new immigrants, with access to various city and community services across the GTA. The program is designed to help participants grow their cybersecurity careers through city services (immigration, business services), networking, education, certification, mentoring, and more. The initiative is planned to be expanded to other cities under names like "CCN CyberPath Calgary" and "CCN CyberPath Edmonton."

Project timeline: August 2024 to October 2024

FundPath

We're excited to launch our new initiative, FundPath - Student Hiring Simplified, aimed at helping Canadian cybersecurity companies easily access government funding for hiring co-op students, interns, and recent graduates. Our goal is to simplify the process, reduce costs, and increase capacity for businesses while providing invaluable work experience for students in the cybersecurity field.

👥 Volunteers Needed: 2-4 to join our project team, with a need for 1 strong project manager with experience in government funding initiatives

CCN TechExchange - Squamish

The "CCN TehcExchange" is envisioned as CCN's first ever meetup that serves as a platform to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge. This event is intended to foster networking opportunities, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among technology professionals from cybersecurity, AI, Quantum Green technologies and more, tech founders, business owners and students. The meetups will focus on dynamic information exchanges, our brand news "spotlight exchanges" and networking. If the Squamish pilot is successful we will look to bring to other communities nationally.

Project timeline: Monthly from November 2024

👥 Volunteers required: 1

Role: Someone who can work with Francois Guay, Founder of CCN in organizing and putting these events in place. From promotion, to getting speakers, growing attendance, working the "spotlights" and getting sponsors. Must be local to the area and on-site at the events.
